Ten years ago, a group of two hundred street vendors in Barcelona came together under the Popular Union of Street Vendors to have our own voice and defend our rights.

Two years later, we launched the social and solidarity clothing brand Top Manta, with a screen printing workshop and a sewing workshop, with the intention of improving the living conditions of the collective, getting our colleagues off the street, and creating communication campaigns capable of denouncing the injustices of the fake system in which we live.

Since the beginning of the Union, more than 200 colleagues have been able to leave the blanket, regularize their administrative status, and start a life with rights. Fifteen work directly in the collective's sewing and screen printing workshop.

Transparency

We believe that another way of doing things also means doing them with transparency. That is why we share the documents that set out our commitments, our way of organizing ourselves, and the social impact of our project. In our Transparency Portal we share all the details of our accounts and economic documentation. You can also consult our Equality Plan, Code of Conduct and Social Balance, where we are accountable for how we work, how we take care of the people who are part of the collective, and how we put the values of the Social and Solidarity Economy into practice.

In 2025 we are participating in the ACOL 2025 program, with the "Group of Entities for Regularization", through which 21 colleagues from the Sants neighborhood of Barcelona will be able to regularize their administrative status and join cooperatives and entities of the Social and Solidarity Economy of Sants to work between the months of January and March 2027.
