BARÇA OR BARZAKH is the phrase we say before embarking on our dangerous journey by wooden boat to Europe. It means Barcelona or death. To arrive or die in the attempt.

Every year, thousands of brothers and sisters lose their lives on this route. In 2024, at least 10,457 people disappeared while trying to reach the Spanish coast, the highest figure since records began. Their bodies are neither searched for nor recovered.

We created this t-shirt to remember their lives and denounce the European Union’s criminal migration policies.
